My brain keeps asking what if.
Common signs...
You may feel...
You are preparing for an awkward conversation with someone who has not even messaged you.
What might be going on
Anxiety can make a possibility feel like something you need to solve immediately. Rechecking, replaying and looking for reassurance can calm you for a minute, then the uncertainty returns and the loop starts again.
Try this now
Write the worry down. Make two columns: what I know and what I am guessing. If there is one useful action you can take, do that. If there is no new information, stop investigating for now.
Reflection
My brain keeps asking what if.
What am I hoping another round of thinking will give me?
When the worry comes back, ask one question: is there new information? If not, you do not need to reopen the investigation.
Something You Need To Hear
Why this card fits
Nine of Swords is useful here because it shows what happens when thinking turns into a loop.
Practical point
More thinking is not always more problem solving. If you have no new information, another round of worrying is unlikely to produce the certainty you want.
