Your attention has been living in somebody else’s business. Let’s bring a bit of it back to you.

This may help if you feel
Hurt, Jealous, Resentful, Overgiving
What you need:
A comfortable bath, shower or seated place.
A towel if bathing.
Optional: a familiar bath product used according to its label. Plain water is enough.
Your attention has been living in somebody else’s business. Let’s bring a bit of it back to you.
The tiny version
Put your phone down and say: “My attention belongs to me for this minute.”
When to try it
Hurt, Jealous, Resentful, Overgiving.
Try a few minutes. Take longer only if you want to.
What you need
A comfortable bath, shower or seated place.
A towel if bathing.
What you need to hear
Calling your energy back can be a meaningful ritual for returning your attention to yourself. You do not need to believe you are physically moving energy to use it.
Try this
Put away the feed, messages or conversation you keep revisiting for a little while.
Choose a bath, shower or comfortable seated pause. If bathing, keep the water comfortably warm rather than very hot.
Notice the water or the support beneath you. Let your breathing stay easy.
If gentle touch feels good, rest a hand somewhere comfortable or gently rub your hands together. There is no required massage sequence.
If the words suit you, say: “I call my energy back to me, for my highest good.” Or use: “For these few minutes, my attention belongs to me.”
Afterwards
Ask what is yours to look after today.
Choose one action that supports you rather than checking on them again.
