You have got the colour. Here is how to look after it without making it a second job.

What you need to know

Follow the aftercare we discuss for your particular colour service. There is no single washing timetable that suits every product, scalp or colour.

Use a suitable shampoo and conditioner, rinse well and keep heat styling gentle. Heat protection helps, but it does not make the hottest setting harmless.

Before swimming or a holiday, ask about protecting your colour. Chlorine, sun and repeated heat can change how it looks and feels.

If the tone fades or looks different in daylight, send a clear photo and tell me what has changed. Do not pile another colour on top before we have worked out what it needs.

If you develop irritation after colouring, get advice from a pharmacist or GP. Severe swelling or trouble breathing needs urgent medical help.

Keep it manageable

Choose the next useful step. You do not have to overhaul everything today.

Follow your individual aftercare instructions.
Condition the lengths.
Protect from heat.
Watch how your tone changes in daylight.
Book maintenance that suits the colour and your budget.

A dull finish does not automatically mean you need more colour. Tell me whether it feels dry, looks faded or has changed tone so we can choose the right fix.
