Starting a Reading for Yourself
Starting a reading for yourself doesn’t need to be complicated. Take a moment to pause, settle, and check in with where you are.
You can come with a question, or simply a feeling
When you’re ready to read, keep it simple.
Take a breath
Place your feet on the floor or notice your body
Ask one clear, open question,
For example:
What wants my attention today?
What would support me right now?
Pull one to three cards.
Notice your first reaction before looking anything up.
If something feels unclear, it’s okay to stop and come back later.
Tarot works best when it’s approached with curiosity, not pressure.
Journalling after your reading gives you a space to slow it all down.
Write what you see, what you feel, and what you think it might be pointing to.
Over time, you’ll begin to notice patterns and trust your own interpretation more.
